About RollData

A BJJ training log built by a practitioner, for practitioners.

Our Story

RollData was built by a BJJ practitioner who wanted a better way to track training. After years of scribbling session notes in spreadsheets and phone apps that never quite captured the detail of a training session, the gap became obvious: nothing let you log round-by-round detail with the techniques and positions that actually matter.

Existing solutions were either too simple — just a date and a text box — or locked behind app store downloads with clunky interfaces that made logging feel like a chore. Training data should be easy to capture and easy to review, not something you dread entering after a hard session.

So RollData was born: a web-based training log designed around how grapplers actually train. Every feature comes from real mat experience and the question "what would actually help me improve?"

Our Mission

Help grapplers improve through data-driven training insights. We believe that tracking what you do on the mat — the techniques you drill, the partners you roll with, and the patterns in your training — is the fastest path to getting better. RollData gives you the tools to see your jiu-jitsu clearly.

What Makes RollData Different

Web-First

No app store downloads or updates. RollData works in any modern browser on your phone, tablet, or computer. Your training log is always accessible — no platform lock-in.

Round-by-Round Logging

Go beyond simple session notes. Log each rolling round individually with your partner, techniques used, and outcomes. See exactly what happened in every round, not just a vague summary.

Technique-Position Mapping

Every technique is linked to a position — guard, mount, side control, back, and more. This gives you a clear picture of where your game is strong and where you need work.
